Oh, okay. That makes sense. - June 5, 2008

(Printer Friendly Version)

Hello Erin a.k.a. TheBunny

I've been reading your ramblings for awhile and could not help but respond to your latest post. I'll try to explain what your new friend said to you in at least semi-rational terms. It's hard to explain without sounding a little kooky, but I've been a fan of alternative science (for lack of a better term) for awhile. (And also Coast to Coast AM talk radio).

Anyway . . .

There is a theory that an alien race helped change the world of monkeys into the world of humans. There are a lot of variations and a lot of people suggest that the mythology of ancient cultures is based upon this. The "gods" of the ancient Greeks, Romans, Sumerians, etc. weren't really divine beings, but a race of aliens. (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anunnaki as an example).

This race is also thought to have influenced the behavior of the nobles of old races. For example, the Mayan nobility used to use boards to shape the heads of their children as well as file their teeth into points. Some believe this was to make them look more like the "Ancients"

This ties to "Atlanteans" and also the story of the Judeo-Christian world flood. For whatever reason, the "ancients" (as your friend called them) became corrupt and caused a world catastrophe which resulted in global destruction. The genes of this culture still exist and are more prevalent in some people than others.

Apparently, those with these genes can pick out others with the genes. This really isn't that far fetched see as people can often recognize people with similar likes, dislikes, talents, etc. in others.

There's no doubt that there is far more to this world than you'll ever find in a book, no matter what theory. (For some interesting things on American history not covered by schools see http://www.ancientamerican.com/)

I hope this helps. We live in a fascinating world. If I can be of any further service, let me know.

They want you to reunite the crystal skulls. And build a relationship with the son you never knew you had while foiling the plans of communist Russia.

Far out Bunnie... I dunno about you, but I was never one to believe I derived from monkeys, let alone alien monkey invaders... My dad has the Indian blood and hazel eyes.. I have the Indian in me... No way in hell I would fall for this crap.. Go home to your parents Bunny, for a sabatical... Return to your roots and accept them... That's when you will find yourself... Or you could simply go take some acid and wander the woods of Upstate NY until you get your "vision" ....

I'd also like to point out that everything she said is basically complete bullshit. Atlantis was invented by Plato as a teaching device, and never referred to again until some disenchanted Catholic decided his religion wasn't kooky enough while exploring South America.

Blah blah blah, no evidence whatsoever, and plenty of completely rational reasons for anything that this Lemuria/Atlantis nonsense purports to explain.

I've looked into it.

Very kooky stuff. But when is being kooky being bad? Who knows, Bunbun, maybe you're a secret ancient come to save us all from our two-like self. Or the lady could just be nuts. Either way, it'd be fun to have a conversation.

I could use a good alien invasion right about now. Do you think they'll call first? I'd like to have my cocktail supplies in order/
