The L Word Cont. - February 1, 2008

(Printer Friendly Version)

So I've seen a few episodes now (20--I'm hooked), and in watching the bulk of The L Word and having the characters develop before mine eyes, I've come to be quite befuddled about this new season. There is something I'm terribly confused about. Perplexed, you could even say. I was hoping today that there might be some lesbians out there, or maybe just women who love women--we don't need to label--who can't help me out with my question. It's about this season. It's just one question. This photo is relevant to the question (and also very nice).

What is this? What is this, thing, this...this...incendiary little thing, and what is it doing to my root chakra? I mean...this is a person--a girl, it seems. And she is human. So there's that. I know she's just human. But, what in fucking holy hell is she wielding? Some super-sonic sex ray? Some trans-TV fuck wave? Some...some...I can't even think. I can't even write. Holy shit. She's got powers. She's...got powers. The powers speak to me, and they say "Erin. This is Shane. You should take her to Massachusetts and make the marriage with her."

Okay, and then just one more question. I know I said there was only one question, but now I have another one: Who's fucking retarded idea was it to write this character into celibacy?

I swear to God, this character makes me question my sexuality. Perhaps I've been lesbian all along, and Shane or someone like it was the magical catalyst. Wouldn't that be some shit? And it also makes me question how much I am loved by the readers of my blog. God damn you. How long have you known about Shane? Years, I bet. You tried to keep her all to yourself. You selfish bitches. Selfish, selfish, selfish. You should learn to share.

oh, I am so glad that you're hooked now. I was a latecome to the L Word thing... I've known about Shane for a year now, since my lesbian friends forced me to watch the first season. Shane is amazing, but wait till you meet Carmen and see them together!!!

I'm not sure if you're into the "fantasy" genre, but if you're ever looking for something to read, www.talesofmu.com is a ridiculously awesome series about a bisexual girl's college experience. That's about the worst possible description, but I really can't do it justice. I found it about 15 chapters in, and now at chapter 147 I'm completely hooked.

Thank you! Oh my goodness, half the fun was watching Shane fuck every other girl on the show. I really could do without Cybil & the Old Chick from "The 40 Year Old Virgin" though. Seriously.

Welcome to the obsession...this show is best watched with a group of friends. Friends who will love nothing more than to talk about The L Word with you all week long until the next episode airs.

I'm more of a Helena fan, myself. Could be the accent....

Hi Bunny!

I'm popping my posting cherry! I need to apologize profusely for not telling you about the sexual wonder that is Shane. I fell into The L Word over this past summer and, although I'm a pretty straight girl, this little minx has invaded my dreams time and time again.
I love you, Bunny. You and your stories are delicious and I can't wait to get another taste.

I like Alice. She's a writer, she's funny, and she's got great tits. I would crawl up inside that for fucking days.

Shane.

I am so in love with Shane.

I was bored one day and caught all of last season in one sitting. I started with one, and then couldn't get up until I had devored them all (except to piss of course). The scenes with Shane and that hot ass blonde? I must've fucked myself stupid 20 times over that- and I'm straight.

I love your blogs (found them by way of my friends Emma & Dawes)and I am elated that you are hitting up The L Word now. I have just burned all of the first seasons to see what I missed, But seriously, What is Shane's voodoo?

Ah, Shane. My wife absolutely adores her. My wife was pretty wild in highschool and the year directly after being with about as many girls (if not more) as guys. Unfortunately for me, this scenario ended as soon as we started dating, but I know that certain women still ignite a flame within her. I'd have to say that Shane is pretty close to the top of that list, if not at the very top. When the plotlines get kind of stupid and ridiculous, Shane's the character that keeps her watching. Your assessment of her is pretty much dead on. Some of the other characters annoy her quite a bit (Jenny... ugh.) We're approaching 13 happy years of marriage and I must admit, I'm a bit curious about what the future might hold, given the right circumstance.

Bunny, you're a freaking trip. You crack me up.

For the past 20 of my years, I have been straight.

Until I watched one episode of The L Word, watched her fuck a girl in the pool, and finally understood that lesbians CAN fuck, and oh my god, I want and need to experience it.

I tried to show my ex, but he didn't understand, and after he dissed her "man-tits," the relationship went downhill. I'm not kidding. He accused me of being a secret lesbian. I'm not going to give myself a label, but I definitely, absolutely, have a newfound appreciation for my gender.

I've never seen this chick before now- we don;t get the show in Australia.

But I look at this photo and I see, in this order, Hands.Smooth, manicured.
Mouth. glossy, parted.

Hmmm. I wonder why she is attractive.

Shane is the epitome of sexy while still being laid back and chill... She's the best thing that ever happened to Showtime.
