The ongoing saga of Murph

Grown up, you say? Murph pup? No way.

The garbage can looked askew. It sure did. I thought I was just being paranoid, worrying about ninjas or something, but in hindsight, a snout had been in that can.

Earlier in the day I had cut up some pineapple, it being a favorite fruit and all. It is profoundly poisonous to dogs and their kidneys, but they crave it anyway. While I was out and about, Murph had gotten at the rinds of the pineapple and devoured them, unbeknownst to me. She seemed chipper as usual. She frolicked all day with Arnold the pig. She begged for treats and chewed her toys, and when she got tired, napped fitfully. She was normal Murphy. But at four in the morning...

It sounded like spppppllllllthhhh. It was loud, but not so loud as to wake me from my slumber. I was in a sort of half state of sleep when I was bombarded by the evil odor. I shot up out of bed, and there was Murph on TOP my clean pile of laundry spewing rotten pineapple poop, bloody pineapple poop onto my whites.

She pooped and vomited all night. I got no sleep. I'm too tired to write this entry.

Does anybody want a Heeler? She's awful cute.

Bunny, Murph may have a sensitive digestive tract, but you can rest assured the pineapple did not hurt her kidneys. Some dogs are especially sensitive to highly acidic foods, i.e. pineapple, and that could be the source of Miss Murphy's diarrhea.
